In front of concerns over depletion, the February 2013 revision of the Algerian hydrocarbon law has introduced significant changes : new incentives to revive exploration  and principle of « domestic market obligation » ; nevertheless, policy makers need to ensure that a broader framework is in place to tackle energy price and subsidy reform in a coordinated and coherent manner.
